The breakthrough moment occurred during the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi when steel windows made their debut. Recognizing the potential of steel windows in shaping the future of Indian housing, our visionary founder, Mr. J C D'Souza, seized the opportunity. Our modest beginnings saw the establishment of a factory dedicated to fabricating high-quality steel windows, steel doors, and grills, setting the stage for our journey in the industry.

Brand WoodMate®
WoodMate®, our innovative brand, emerged from the vision of seamlessly combining wood and steel. Deccan, a trailblazer in the industry, introduced the revolutionary concept of Steel Frames with Wooden Shutters and Steel Panels in the late 80s. This groundbreaking product found widespread use in prominent locations such as Apex Cooperative Bank’s Community Centres across Karnataka, Police Housing Quarters, and various other projects.

In our pursuit of growth and scalability, we transitioned into a private limited company, officially becoming Deccan Structural Systems Pvt. Ltd. on July 1, 1986. Our business expanded steadily, attracting clients like HAL, ISRO, and St. Johns Medical College, among others. A pivotal moment in our journey occurred in 1997 when, 15 years post-incorporation, we fulfilled our largest order to date – supplying 2500 windows for the National Games held in Bangalore.
